Physical SOC Analyst

OverviewAWS is seeking Physical SOC Analysts to join the AWS Physical Security Operations Centre (PSOC), supporting incident response and physical security operations across AWS infrastructure environments.This role is responsible for monitoring physical security systems, managing incident response activities, supporting access control operations and assisting with day-to-day security operations within a fast-paced security environment.The role requires strong communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting critical infrastructure operations.About the organisationAmazon Web Services (AWS) is one of the world’s leading cloud providers, delivering secure and scalable infrastructure services to organisations across more than 190 countries.AWS Security teams bring together professionals from military, law enforcement, emergency services and private sector backgrounds to help protect critical infrastructure, operations and customer environments.Amazon actively supports veteran and military community employment pathways through dedicated mentoring, onboarding and support programs, recognising the leadership, adaptability and operational experience veterans and first responders bring to high-performing teams.The roleAs a Physical SOC Analyst within the AWS Physical Security Operations Centre (PSOC), you will support physical security monitoring, incident response and operational coordination activities across AWS facilities.Key responsibilities include: • Monitoring physical security and access control systems • Responding to physical security incidents and alarms • Supporting contracted guard force operations • Managing incident reporting, notifications and communications • Triaging trouble tickets and incoming operational requests • Supporting intelligence gathering and incident response activities • Assisting internal stakeholders with operational support and security enquiries • Supporting the development and maintenance of SOPs and operational proceduresSkills and experience• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Physical Security Operations Centre monitoring and response• Experience in physical security systems, incident management and security operations• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced operational environments• Experience in military, law enforcement, dispatch or security operations centre environments highly regarded• Experience with physical security control and surveillance systems desirable• Certificate III in Security Operations or equivalent highly regardedRequirements• Australian Citizenship required• Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Government Security Clearance• Ability to successfully complete an Organisational Suitability Assessment• Ability to work within a 24/7 operational environment• Ability to manage sensitive information and operational security requirementsJob detailsVacancies: 1How to applyEligible candidates are encouraged to apply directly through the AWS Careers portal.
