BildGroup is looking for an experienced Multiskilled Plant Operator to join our Urban Civil Construction team, permanently based in Mackay, Queensland.

You’ll operate a range of plant across civil infrastructure and sports field construction projects, including earthworks, drainage, pavements and landscaping.

About the role

You’ll work as part of a close-knit crew that gets things done and takes genuine pride in the work it delivers.

This isn’t a single-machine position. We need someone who can confidently operate whichever machine is required on the day, whether that’s an excavator, grader, roller or skid steer.

If a machine needs an operator and you hold the appropriate ticket, you’ll be ready to get on it. That flexibility is what makes this team work and is exactly what we’re looking for in the person who joins us.

Skills and experience

• Multiple current plant tickets, including excavator, grader, roller, skid steer or a combination of these
• Proven plant-operating experience on civil construction sites
• Experience across urban civil, earthworks, drainage, sports field or landscaping projects
• A genuinely multiskilled approach and confidence moving between machines as project requirements change
• Strong commitment to safety and safe operating practices
• Reliable and consistent approach to work
• Current White Card (Construction Induction), held prior to commencement
• Valid driver’s licence for travel between sites throughout the Mackay region
• Based in Mackay or genuinely prepared to relocate permanently

Desirable qualifications and experience

• Sports field or civil construction experience
• Traffic Management accreditation
• HR or MR driver’s licence
• Current First Aid certificate
