As our Head of Supply Chain & Logistics, you’ll play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring our end-to-end supply chain delivers the performance, resilience and agility required to support Australian Defence.
About the Role
As the Head of Supply Chain & Logistics, you will lead the strategic direction and operational performance of Rheinmetall Defence Australia’s end-to-end supply chain, ensuring the business delivers against its commitments in a complex manufacturing environment.
Working within the Operations team, you will partner with Programs, Engineering, Production, Quality and Finance to optimise supply chain performance by balancing cost, lead time, quality and supply security, while driving operational excellence, supplier performance and inventory optimisation.
You will build resilient supply networks, lead continuous improvement initiatives and develop a high-performing team that enables the successful delivery of critical Defence capability.

You are an experienced supply chain executive who thrives in complex manufacturing environments where operational excellence and strategic thinking go hand in hand.
The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Extensive experience in senior supply chain, procurement and logistics leadership roles, ideally within vehicle manufacturing, defence, aerospace, or complex electro-mechanical/electronics manufacturing environments
- Degree qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business or a related discipline
- Postgraduate qualification or relevant professional certification, such as CIPS, APICS or CSCMP, highly regarded
- Prior experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across procurement, warehousing and logistics functions
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional influencing skills, including engineering, quality and production leadership
- Resilient and adaptable leadership style, capable of managing disruption and ambiguity, including geopolitical or freight volatility and supplier issues
- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance at NV1 level
- Australian Citizenship is required
