Associate DevOps Analyst

OverviewAWS is seeking Associate DevOps Analysts to support secure cloud infrastructure environments within the AWS Region Services team.This role is responsible for supporting operational services, troubleshooting technical issues, supporting deployments and helping maintain highly secure and scalable AWS environments supporting sensitive workloads.The role requires strong technical problem-solving skills, collaboration and the ability to operate within fast-paced operational and engineering environments.About the organisationThe AWS Region Services team combines AWS global cloud leadership with Australian security expertise to deliver highly secure and scalable cloud environments for sensitive workloads.AWS Region Services supports secure operations across key capability areas including Compute & Machine Learning, Security Identity & Compliance, and Storage & Databases, while helping customers deliver critical missions securely and reliably.Amazon actively supports veteran and military community employment pathways through dedicated mentoring, onboarding and support programs, recognising the leadership, adaptability and operational experience veterans and first responders bring to high-performing teams.The roleAs an Associate DevOps Analyst within AWS Region Services, you will support operational systems, deployments and infrastructure services across secure AWS cloud environments.Key responsibilities include: • Supporting operational services and infrastructure environments • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues • Supporting deployments, builds and operational changes • Monitoring system and service performance metrics • Supporting automation and operational improvement initiatives • Working with engineering teams to improve service reliability and support processes • Assisting with technical documentation and operational procedures • Supporting large-scale distributed systems and cloud servicesSkills and experience• Experience working within Linux/Unix environments• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems• Understanding of operational support procedures and production computing environments• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills• Experience with CI/CD environments highly regarded• Knowledge of networking fundamentals desirable• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python desirable• Experience supporting documentation and operational processes desirableRequirements• Australian Citizenship required• Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Government Security Clearance• Ability to successfully complete an Organisational Suitability Assessment• Ability to work within highly secure operational environments• Ability to collaborate across engineering and operational teamsJob detailsVacancies: 1How to applyEligible candidates are encouraged to apply directly through the AWS Careers portal.
